Role in Administration
The Pharaoh was the head of administration in Egypt, which refers to the governing of the country including both internal and external affairs. The administration of Egypt consisted of the royal domain, the military government, the religious government and the civil government. In all areas of the government the Pharaoh recieved support from officials and bureaucracy. Each member of the government had specific roles, the most power falling to the vizier (after the Pharaoh himself).
As the leader of administration in Egypt, the Pharaoh was in charge of all who had a role in administration and was responsible for making decisions about public works and foreign policy.
